Holy guacamole to the days that have slipped by! I happy to report that slippage was because we were having so much fun. 

 Barry's 60th birthday was filled with love. Andrew was working in California and Chris was working in Birmingham and Rodney was working in Houston, but all of the rest of the big kids were here, as were almost all of the grandbabies. I asked him if he felt like he'd gotten a lot of attention for his birthday, and he said that he had, and I think that he did feel very loved. 

 Beverly and JA's visit was short, but sweet. They had a lot to fit in to their days here, but we got to have some good visits, and all three of their girls were here, so they got to have some good family time at Phew! They all seemed very happy with the house. 

 Beth spent Thursday night at Phew! and was at Morgan and Zak's after that. We got to have a little visit Friday morning before she went over to Morgan's. She said she slept well in her bed at Phew! 

 Kennedy went to Taste of Thai with us, and Angela and Beverly and JA made some juice with Papa. 

 Got a text from Andrew.

 Did I tell you that Brittany has finished her last college class? She works on her thesis next semester, but she has taken her last college class. 

 Got a text from Skyler.

 Tori was sick while she was here --- fever and nausea --- so she didn't come over until right before they left, and even then she was wearing a mask. She didn't realize she was sick till in the middle of the trip here. It was a long trip for them, but I was happy to get to see her. 

 Vivan took her lunch break to come and see us for a few minutes.

 Zak was here for a little bit --- he wasn't feeling well, so had to leave early. "I wanted to see Aunt B," he said.

 Noah let me know that he'd won two tournaments and scored some goals. 

 Tyler came with John and Kim. 

 Faith came to SSS after she got off from work and visited with us for a little bit. She's liking her job at Firehouse Subs. 

 Jaden wasn't here for SSS, but he was over one evening. I made the kitchen garbage can pop up suddenly by secretly using the foot pedal. It made him laugh and laugh!

January 9 Well, we won the National Championship. In the three years that I have actually be watching football, we've come close, but never gotten it, at least I don't think so. Anyway, last night's game was stressful, but we came away with the prize, so that was good. Beth and Beverly and Morgan and I watched together in the sense that we were posting about what was going on at our house, so that was kind of fun. Saw Kim a little bit, too.  Brittany and I had a little text visit. She did start her classes back yesterday which was a little hard in the rain, and with her recent ankle surgery. February 10, 2018 My favorite hotdogs, on buns warmed in the toaster with just the right amount of ketchup, mustard and pickle, the hotdogs grilled in the small skillet with cheese melted over them at the very last. Perfectly delicious. Followed by Breyer's vanilla ice cream topped with Coops hot fudge sauce. A favorite meal. All by my quiet, unobserved self. And when I got the date and time set up on my elliptical, and my user profile set up, and got my iPod hooked up to it so that it will stay charged up it made my heart race. I'm so excited!!!

January 8 Second Sunday Supper was joyous last night. Andrew seemed relaxed and started off sitting by Barry and talking about pickups and I heard him say, "I'm not sure I made the right decision," in son-asking-father tone. And then John came in and the three of them discussed the comparative pluses and minuses of various makes and models of pickups.  Kim went straight to pet Mama Cat.  When I said that Tori and Josh were still good friends, still good to each other, had just decided that they didn't have the kind of fire that takes you through all of life's troubles, I ended up looking at Kim, who was nodding as in how important that is, and I remember her saying about meeting John, "It isn't like I didn't know right when I met him that he was the one."
