Kathi called yesterday to thank me for her birthday present, and said that Andrew is driving down Saturday to visit with them a little bit. 

 Talked to Beverly for just a few minutes. She was working from home, onboarding with the information she'll need for her new job. 

 Vivian won't make it to Second Sunday Supper, but said she'll stop by on her way to work.

 Got a text from Shawn. He said he'll be at Second Sunday Supper. 

 Barry and I went to Firefly last night. They have a lot of the bulkhead framed in, and some brush cleared in a way that just lets you seek what a great view we have. We really just couldn't have asked for a better piece of property. 
so far, I think it’s been the time that I was listening to the radio on the way to work - they were talking about an 18 wheeler that turned over and was full of gallons of cows milk that spilled all over the roadway. I obviously began to cry because those poor cows probably went through so much to fill all of those jugs and now they’re just spilled all over the roadway for nothing. All their hard work... for nothing.
So yeah. Obvious big pregnant tears. 🤷🏽‍♀️
my baby-est sister started tenth grade today | every life change that I have seems like “yeah this is just life moving right along, I guess” - but THEN when the baby sibling has new life changes I’m like “holy shit why is life moving so fast - how can she already be at this stage?!”

so yeah, I’m a little bit wishing that we were back to sharing a room and she was back to being tiny and obsessed with me and I was back to braiding her pretty, silky hair and finding random pickle skins in our bedroom (because she only liked the insides).
.
I hope today was more than you ever hoped for, my girl. And that life would slow down just a bit for us. 🖤 and I hope you know I love you more than all of the stars in the sky.


What a great evening with great friends! So blessed! The meal was just as fabulous. Love you Phil and Debbie!

January 9 Well, we won the National Championship. In the three years that I have actually be watching football, we've come close, but never gotten it, at least I don't think so. Anyway, last night's game was stressful, but we came away with the prize, so that was good. January 8 Second Sunday Supper was joyous last night. Andrew seemed relaxed and started off sitting by Barry and talking about pickups and I heard him say, "I'm not sure I made the right decision," in son-asking-father tone. And then John came in and the three of them discussed the comparative pluses and minuses of various makes and models of pickups.  Kim went straight to pet Mama Cat.  When I said that Tori and Josh were still good friends, still good to each other, had just decided that they didn't have the kind of fire that takes you through all of life's troubles, I ended up looking at Kim, who was nodding as in how important that is, and I remember her saying about meeting John, "It isn't like I didn't know right when I met him that he was the one." February 10, 2018 My favorite hotdogs, on buns warmed in the toaster with just the right amount of ketchup, mustard and pickle, the hotdogs grilled in the small skillet with cheese melted over them at the very last. Perfectly delicious. Followed by Breyer's vanilla ice cream topped with Coops hot fudge sauce. A favorite meal. All by my quiet, unobserved self. And when I got the date and time set up on my elliptical, and my user profile set up, and got my iPod hooked up to it so that it will stay charged up it made my heart race. I'm so excited!!!
