August 13, 2018
Quiet morning. I seem to be feeling better --- coughing less, at least unless I talk. 

 We got to see Kennedy yesterday. Apparently, I've missed her. I was noticeably happier, visiting with her at supper. (She and John and Angela went with us to Taste of Thai.)

 Beverly starts her training today for her new job. When I talked to Beth last night, she said she thought she was going to try to send Beverly a little "welcome" package.

 Had a nice phone visit with Beth last night.

Today is my first day back on night shift. I don’t have work until 5PM, the world has tilted back on its axis, you can all come out of hiding now. I’m me again. Thank you, Lord Jesus, for no more 5AMs!!!!

Lyndsey Lomax Spradlin Please take a lot of pictures of this room BEFORE he arrives. I can't wait to see the comparisson pictures of this same room at 1 year, 18 months, 2 years and 5 years. bahahaha. It is absolutely gorgeous (for now) though.

Morgan Myers I’ve had lots of moms at my house go “yep you’re gonna need to move that, that’s gotta go, he’ll definitely try to eat that” 😹 needless to say I have a lot of baby proofing to do.

Lyndsey Lomax Spradlin I had that too. I had and have lots of decorative glass things around and people would always tell me to move them... the baby will break them...the dog will break them.... blah blah blah... and they are still there. So take everything people say (including ME) with a grain of salt.

Beth Allen I've tried 2 different live plants that are "easy" to maintain, both of which died. I'll just have to appreciate the greenery around me that someone else takes care of 😅 #deadthumb

January 9 Well, we won the National Championship. In the three years that I have actually be watching football, we've come close, but never gotten it, at least I don't think so. Anyway, last night's game was stressful, but we came away with the prize, so that was good. February 10, 2018 My favorite hotdogs, on buns warmed in the toaster with just the right amount of ketchup, mustard and pickle, the hotdogs grilled in the small skillet with cheese melted over them at the very last. Perfectly delicious. Followed by Breyer's vanilla ice cream topped with Coops hot fudge sauce. A favorite meal. All by my quiet, unobserved self. And when I got the date and time set up on my elliptical, and my user profile set up, and got my iPod hooked up to it so that it will stay charged up it made my heart race. I'm so excited!!!

January 8 Second Sunday Supper was joyous last night. Andrew seemed relaxed and started off sitting by Barry and talking about pickups and I heard him say, "I'm not sure I made the right decision," in son-asking-father tone. And then John came in and the three of them discussed the comparative pluses and minuses of various makes and models of pickups.  Kim went straight to pet Mama Cat.  When I said that Tori and Josh were still good friends, still good to each other, had just decided that they didn't have the kind of fire that takes you through all of life's troubles, I ended up looking at Kim, who was nodding as in how important that is, and I remember her saying about meeting John, "It isn't like I didn't know right when I met him that he was the one."
