I sent Andrew a text last night, after Second Sunday Supper. He was at work, but texted with me for a few minutes. When I told him that I had thought about trying to call him when I was on my way back from Vero, but pictured him working, he said, "Should have reached out. Could have at least tried to meet up." So that made me feel good --- that maybe he isn't so busy that he'd feel bothered if I reached out more often.

Vivian excited about her new job at the WalMart distribution center --- she said she told Beth, "I can't wait to have lunch with Grannie and Papa," and then realized that she worked from six at night till six in the morning.

Annette and Skyler came early, and Annette helped me in the kitchen, with the rolls. When they got ready to leave, Skyler said to Annette, "Give me the keys! I'm driving home!"

Brittany came with Jon Mark, her boyfriend, and we were happy to meet him. Brandon wasn't here when Brittany and Jon Mark got here, when Brittany was first introducing him. They were sitting at the table, having their dinner, and Brandon extended his hand towards Jon Mark, and said, "I'm Brandon..."

Kennedy and John W were a little late so they had to sit at the big kids table with us. I said something about them representing the Reeds, and with a facial expression that let you in the joke re: late she said, "and doing a good job of it, so far."

Rodney had come in for Morgan's ultra sound on Saturday and for Zak's 21st birthday. Beth flew out for California at 3:00 Sunday afternoon, but Rodney stayed and came to supper. Everybody was really happy to see him.

Morgan and Brandon came so we were able to include him in the birthday singing with some lighthearted teasing about the numbers of suppers he's missed. He was happy with the cheese I brought him home from our trip to Derby, KS.

Zak and Vivian were here. She'd already let me know that they would have to leave a little early because they had an appointment to have pictures made. At 5:45 Zak came to where I was sitting and said so gently, "Grannie, Vivian and I need to leave at 6:00." He's just so sweet.

John and Kim and Noah were all here, as were Chris and Shawn and Tyler. I told Shawn I hadn't been able to get ahold of him, and that if he doesn't hear from me, he should send me a text because his phone must not be working.
