Well, I'm home. Barry was really happy to see me yesterday, and still happy this morning. Morning hug, when I asked him how he was doing, he said, "I'm good now. My girlfriend's home." I said, "We were meant to be together, weren't we?" And he said, "Yes, we were." 

 I thought I heard a stirring the driveway and immediately thought that maybe it was Angela's car, but of course it is not. She had sent me text messages every morning, or had tried, her phone didn't send them, but she told me about them when we talked last night. "I didn't want you to think I had forgotten about our morning hugs," she said. 

 She said that she sent in one resume just because it would be so much fun.... diving with manatees. And another one at a zoo. She sounded really excited. 

 The Vero visits were nice, although I really only spent time with Kim and Johnny and with Milt and Sandy. I did get to make three trips to downtown Vero, and although there's a snippet of lingering, re: Daddy's expression of some disappointment when I said that I hadn't made it to the park, (he may have been disappointed on my behalf) I have the feeling of having satisfied my desire to spend some time in the place where I spent early days, allowed to set my own pace, to linger, and not impose on anyone or be conscious of how bored they might be. 

 While I was gone, Zak (probably Vivan, really, sent me a picture of him with both of their dogs.) It is my gmail joy journal/Zak.

 Angela and I had a good trip down. We got off if I75 because her app told us about a big traffic jam, and had fun talking about what we'd seen on that little country road. She said that if she hadn't thought she was calling too much, she would have called to point out the names of all of the farms/ranches. One was "Champagne Farm/Ranch." 

 She and Tori and I had fun visiting over breakfast the next day and a little trip to Wal Mart. We got a dish that was doughnut holes with three sauces for dipping and Tori said, "That looks like something Papa would like."

January 9 Well, we won the National Championship. In the three years that I have actually be watching football, we've come close, but never gotten it, at least I don't think so. Anyway, last night's game was stressful, but we came away with the prize, so that was good. Beth and Beverly and Morgan and I watched together in the sense that we were posting about what was going on at our house, so that was kind of fun. Saw Kim a little bit, too.  Brittany and I had a little text visit. She did start her classes back yesterday which was a little hard in the rain, and with her recent ankle surgery. January 8 Second Sunday Supper was joyous last night. Andrew seemed relaxed and started off sitting by Barry and talking about pickups and I heard him say, "I'm not sure I made the right decision," in son-asking-father tone. And then John came in and the three of them discussed the comparative pluses and minuses of various makes and models of pickups.  Kim went straight to pet Mama Cat.  When I said that Tori and Josh were still good friends, still good to each other, had just decided that they didn't have the kind of fire that takes you through all of life's troubles, I ended up looking at Kim, who was nodding as in how important that is, and I remember her saying about meeting John, "It isn't like I didn't know right when I met him that he was the one." February 10, 2018 My favorite hotdogs, on buns warmed in the toaster with just the right amount of ketchup, mustard and pickle, the hotdogs grilled in the small skillet with cheese melted over them at the very last. Perfectly delicious. Followed by Breyer's vanilla ice cream topped with Coops hot fudge sauce. A favorite meal. All by my quiet, unobserved self. And when I got the date and time set up on my elliptical, and my user profile set up, and got my iPod hooked up to it so that it will stay charged up it made my heart race. I'm so excited!!!
