I had a pretty good day at the airport yesterday, really. I finished reading Alice Munro's collection of short stories. I've never aspired to write a short story because I don't like them. She is known as one of the best, and she changed my mind. Course. you have to figure out how to be one of the best, but that's a different tale. 

 The traffic over wasn't bad and the weather was good so it was really an easy day. 

 Beverly was really tired and her hands were hurting her, but she gave me big hugs and we had a good ride home.

 Angela seemed happy last night, and this morning when she brought the pups out. 

 Tori asked for the Corny Corn Bread recipe.

 Beth posted a cool cloud picture and I told her she should send it to the cloud appreciation society. She put it on their Facebook page and said that now she is now obsessed with their page.

January 9 Well, we won the National Championship. In the three years that I have actually be watching football, we've come close, but never gotten it, at least I don't think so. Anyway, last night's game was stressful, but we came away with the prize, so that was good. Beth and Beverly and Morgan and I watched together in the sense that we were posting about what was going on at our house, so that was kind of fun. February 10, 2018 My favorite hotdogs, on buns warmed in the toaster with just the right amount of ketchup, mustard and pickle, the hotdogs grilled in the small skillet with cheese melted over them at the very last. Perfectly delicious. Followed by Breyer's vanilla ice cream topped with Coops hot fudge sauce. A favorite meal. All by my quiet, unobserved self. And when I got the date and time set up on my elliptical, and my user profile set up, and got my iPod hooked up to it so that it will stay charged up it made my heart race. I'm so excited!!!

January 8 Second Sunday Supper was joyous last night. Andrew seemed relaxed and started off sitting by Barry and talking about pickups and I heard him say, "I'm not sure I made the right decision," in son-asking-father tone. And then John came in and the three of them discussed the comparative pluses and minuses of various makes and models of pickups.  Kim went straight to pet Mama Cat.  When I said that Tori and Josh were still good friends, still good to each other, had just decided that they didn't have the kind of fire that takes you through all of life's troubles, I ended up looking at Kim, who was nodding as in how important that is, and I remember her saying about meeting John, "It isn't like I didn't know right when I met him that he was the one."
