Beth, to the lady who was sitting beside her on the plane, after that lady's description of having seen Mt. Rainer in a sunset, which followed Beth's excitement about seeing Mt. Rainer: "But look what my eyes are seeing right now."
Evan, in the midst of conversation, in reference to family, "You've done a good job." I don't know what I said in response, but he added, "Sometimes it needs to be said."
He and Angela and I played a game of cards, and it was fun to be with them --- being a part of their laughter and enjoyment of each other's company. As Faith, Michael, and Daniel left, Evan remarked that one of the good things that had come out of the October trip had been the hour and half ride that he'd been able to spend with Michael.
Andrew came to pick Skyler up, so I got to get a hug. I actually snagged two, and got a big one. He's flew back to California last night.
Kim and John sat and visited with Barry and I for a few minutes and we enjoyed that chat. John told us about someone who has received a grant for hanging oysters off of piers, the idea being to restore the oyster beds so they'll clean the bay.
Beth called and we got to have a little visit. She told me about her trip to Seattle, and going to see Cape Flattery. She read about it, noted that it was an hour and a half away, and thought to herself, "It's this close. I should really go see it." She got distracted about a pretty little beach that added an hour to her trip. She had to walk through some woods to get to Cape Flattery, so she said "It would have been more fun if I was with someone." The distance to her hotel was greater than the distance had been from the hospital, so she had a five hour drive back to the hotel and was fussing at herself, but she's glad she went. I was, too. Sometimes you're just glad you haven't left an opportunity on the table.
Rodney was grilling and they're getting ready for a visit from Zak, Vivian, Maggie and Maggie's baby girl.
Brittany posted some pictures of her Sunday workout, and Morgan' posted pictures of the mural she painted in Davis' nursery. They're in the Facebook 2018 Joy Journal.
Tyler was officially the first one to jump in the pool this year, although that was kinda because he and Daniel were supposed to jump together, and Daniel waited a minutes.
Faith taught us how to play Trash Can, so she, Skyler, Tyler, Angela and I played.
Faith said she loves that we make brownies at every Goodtimes --- that it almost wouldn't be Goodtimes without brownie.
