We had a good weekend. 

 I got a Chat message from Shawn last night --- he said he'd had an amazing day with his dad. 

 Saturday night we took Angela and Tori and Kennedy down to see the property and they were excited and then we went to dinner at the Pelican Reef and they laughed and laughed. Kennedy has applied to participate in a 3 semester program that gives her the opportunity to completely design an exhibition. 

 Sunday afternoon we took Beth and Rodney and Linda down to see it. Beth said she wanted to just sit her chair in the sun and read a book. Rodney said that if Beth would just go ahead and win the lottery, he wouldn't have to work in Houston anymore. 

 Morgan and Brandon's gender reveal was Saturday afternoon, and it was a sweet time visiting with family. Amber was there and we got to sit and talk for quite a while. Annette and Brittany and Skyler were there, and so were Angela and Tori and Kennedy. 

 Zak brought his pups out Sunday afternoon while Beth was here and we ended up sitting on the swings and visiting for quite a while. Just the nicest, calmest, most respectful voice, "Did you think about a chain link fence ... when we were talking about people on the property. He's applied to Chevron and Aker and a place in Houston. 

 When I complimented Skyler on her hair she said, "Thank you. I'm going for a new look." 

 JA wished us a happy anniversary. 

 Shawn's space at the RV park has been cleared out and Barry should be able to pick that RV up today. Shawn seemed pretty happy about all of that. Chris got him to Labor Ready early today, so hopefully he'll be able to get started working. 

 Evan and Chelsea took Jaden to get his picture made with the Easter Bunny at Bass Pro and brought us a picture. 

 Faith's prom was Friday night, and the pictures are wonderful and in our picture file. 

 This morning, Barry said that he was just remembering how great the weekend was.

January 9 Well, we won the National Championship. In the three years that I have actually be watching football, we've come close, but never gotten it, at least I don't think so. Anyway, last night's game was stressful, but we came away with the prize, so that was good. Beth and Beverly and Morgan and I watched together in the sense that we were posting about what was going on at our house, so that was kind of fun. Saw Kim a little bit, too.  Brittany and I had a little text visit. She did start her classes back yesterday which was a little hard in the rain, and with her recent ankle surgery. January 8 Second Sunday Supper was joyous last night. Andrew seemed relaxed and started off sitting by Barry and talking about pickups and I heard him say, "I'm not sure I made the right decision," in son-asking-father tone. And then John came in and the three of them discussed the comparative pluses and minuses of various makes and models of pickups.  Kim went straight to pet Mama Cat.  When I said that Tori and Josh were still good friends, still good to each other, had just decided that they didn't have the kind of fire that takes you through all of life's troubles, I ended up looking at Kim, who was nodding as in how important that is, and I remember her saying about meeting John, "It isn't like I didn't know right when I met him that he was the one." February 10, 2018 My favorite hotdogs, on buns warmed in the toaster with just the right amount of ketchup, mustard and pickle, the hotdogs grilled in the small skillet with cheese melted over them at the very last. Perfectly delicious. Followed by Breyer's vanilla ice cream topped with Coops hot fudge sauce. A favorite meal. All by my quiet, unobserved self. And when I got the date and time set up on my elliptical, and my user profile set up, and got my iPod hooked up to it so that it will stay charged up it made my heart race. I'm so excited!!!
