January 6
I feel pretty good about the plan that I have for today. For starters, it is my writing day. Even though I have some unfinished Wonderland work, none of it really has to be done today, and it just can't come first all of the time. Besides which, I have become comfortable with having my writing day and the world has not come to an end because I do so.

I'll have to break two and a half hours early to take Tyler to see Dr. Diane, but I am going to take my Sabbath book and notebook at work on that while I am in the waiting room. There isn't much I can do about drive time, or that the fact that we'll get back here about 30 minutes early. I won't want to recoup that time, because Angela and Kennedy are coming over for dinner, and I'll enjoy relaxing with them.

Had a nice little text conversation with Brittany last night. She's still having to take pain medicine at night so that she can sleep, mostly because the stitches itch and burn, but she goes back to the doctor in a week. Classes are going well.

Beverly called and we had a nice visit. She really enjoyed her weekend. JA was off, and they're not really sure when that is going to happen again, so they tried to make the most of it. They climbed above the clouds in Diablo State Park, went to the Coastal Redwood Forest, and then the Giant Redwoods. Lots of pictures and her comments on Facebook.

Kennedy and John came over for supper last night. He said things are reasonably busy at the store and that he is helping out there. Kennedy had been busy moving Angela's t.v. She's learning to code C sharp.

Saw Beth on Facebook. The Saints lost their game by a hair, which stressed Rodney out pretty badly.

Nicole said Morgan's getting the skiing down, and posted some pictures.

John and Kim brought Tyler home last night, and got here before Kennedy and John went home so we stood around in the dining room and laughed and talked. When Kennedy told John about the trouble she had setting up her environment for C Sharp, he told her about when he learned it, back before you could download an environment. I told Kim it was like "I had to walk two miles in the snow."

Tyler gave me lots of hugs when he got home.
